Indiana Packers Hosts Benefit Dinner for Carroll Manor

10/5/2009

Indiana Packers recently held its second benefit for Carroll Manor on Sunday, September 27, 2009.  The event is held to raise both funds and awareness for Carroll Manor.  Over 400 people attended and were served a pork chop dinner by the staff of Indiana Packers Corporation.  The Carroll County Lions Club was also on hand with their ice cream trailer and all proceeds from the day were donated to the Manor.

This year over $4,400 was raised from the dinner and the Carroll County Lions Club contributed an additional $2,150 in contributions from ice cream sales and individual chapter donations from the Camden, Delphi, and Flora chapters.  This made for a combined total of $6,550 raised for Carroll Manor.  Indiana Packers hosted the first fundraiser for Carroll Manor in 2008 in an effort to create positive attention and funds for the manor.

Each year, we continue to be impressed by the outpouring of support from the community in both assisting with the event and attending the event.

A special thank you to the following organizations who assisted with the event:  Carroll County Ag Association, Beta Psi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi, Carroll County Lions Clubs, Delphi Community High School FFA and Key Club, Delphi United Methodist Church,  and Tri Kappa.
